Tamale Pie Gravy - Vegan


3 Tbsp Red Bean Flour

3 Tbsp Fine Corn Flour or Masa

2 Tsp Chicken or Vegetable Soup Base

2 Tbsp Chili Powder

1-1/2 Tsp Cumin

2 Cups Water


Preparation - Stir all ingredients together until there are no lumps
Cooking - Bring to a boil in a medium sauce pan. Cook 1 minute at temperature and then cover over low heat for 4 minutes or longer to your preferred thickness. Add salt as desired.
Ideas - Serve over tamales, patties, loaves, cooked beans or potatos. If you want the sauce to be hotter, add some regular hot sauce to your taste
